Bradley's Nursery Reveal
I had so much fun creating this room in the house for our precious baby boy. I was open to a theme, but I figured keeping it to a color scheme would be an easier and better transition for him growing older. Since I was so sick in the first trimester and the beginning of the second trimester, we didn't start on the nursery until December (2 months before his arrival).
The colors I wanted to incorporate were black, white, and green. I had a vision to add a black and white portrait of Nova to watch over him as he slept. The canvas is from Smallwoods Home, where I get a lot of my framed pictures. The quality and price of their products are great!

Just like any other room or design, I started with a mood board in Photoshop. Some of the pieces on this board I actually bought (crib, curtains, and rug). I always encourage mood boards when designing a room because it helps your vision come to life. It makes it easier to find items for your room and stay focus on the theme you are going for.
Since I will be spending a lot of time in this chair, I figured a cozy recliner would be the way to go. I knew I wanted a tan recliner and it took forever to find. We found ours at a great price at Ashley Furniture (linked in above pictures). It is the comfiest chair I have ever sat in and it rocks & reclines.
In my nesting phase, my need to organize went up exponentially. I have been organizing the nursery and the whole house. For the nursey, I bought cubbies for the dresser and closet, age clothing dividers for the closet, and I got curtain rod clips for hanging his bibs and beanies. All of those items are from Amazon and linked in the above pictures from my Like to Know It.
In the dresser drawers this is how I organized:
Diaper and changing station items
Pacifiers, teethers, socks, onesies, burp cloths
PJs and extra diapers
Swaddles- blankets and sleeper sacks
Towels and washcloths
Right now I have a catch-all drawer where it keeps small electronics and instructions
For the other parts of the house I bought the new clear cubbies from Target's new line, Brightroom to clean up and organize my office and closets. It felt so good to not only get the nursery set up, but also to tidy up other parts of the house.
Now that Bradley is here I am so glad I took the time to organize and find a place for everything. It makes life with a newborn so much easier.
XOXO
