Trends in More Detail:
Flower Power includes floral patterns along with appliqués and structures. Floral in the s/s is not unheard of. However, these florals are more theatrical by having a more three-dimensional role.
Sheer pieces (tops, dresses, etc) have been in the past few seasons. It is very daring and edgy. You can also make it feminine based on the color and how it is styled.
Fancy pajama time? I am in! This is new and I am obsessed. From silky long sleeve tops and bottoms to boudior style slip dresses. You will see lace used to trim the hems of silk dresses and skirts.
Be a doll and dress cute… This style is so fun and girly. You will find bubble hems, babydoll silhouettes, ruffles, pom poms, and high octane sequins (pale pink, nude)
Girls mean business... and suits aren’t going anywhere any time soon. This season you will see soft shades in blazers and bottoms. Oversized blazers are making an appearance and you can pair with jeans or matching trousers. Trousers are going to have a bigger selection this season
from pedal pushers to wide-leg, cargoes to puddle hemlines, making suits more playful.
Denim is always a great investment because it seems to always be in season. Baggy and mom jeans are a popular choice these days. I love a good denim jacket for my spring and summer dresses.
Low rise is trying to make a comeback in jeans, skirts, and pants. We will see if these are welcomed with open arms.
I heart you… You will see heart patterns and motifs this season. Valentine’s day all season long.
Who doesn’t love a sunset? This color trend is reminiscent of the ombre skies you see at the beach. Reds, yellow, and oranges evoking a sense of relaxation.
Im a cool girl. Army jackets, distressed denim, grubby tees, heavy duty leather, perfect for any edgy gal. You can either put all of these together or dress these pieces up. Example: grubby tee with a fun skirt. Blouse with distressed denim and leather purse… etc
High low style is coming back in dresses and skirts, along with asymmetrical cuts. Included in this mix are the dresses with a train, a little different then the typical high low style.
