F/W 2023 Trends

After this hot summer, talking about fall and winter trends is not only easy, but exciting. You will notice some trends that are continuing from Summer to Fall with a twist to keep us ready for the cooler weather.

The key colors for the season are clay, magenta, cream, chocolate brown, burgundy, and black. The

most common seen on the runway was a bright and bold red. The most common pattern was a moody and dark floral, which is very pretty.

Cowboy boots, rhinestone boots, and fun lifestyle sneakers are the most popular shoe picks for this 2023 F/W season. Along with pointy shoes, furry footwear, and white over the knee boots.

Other accessories that will be spotted in the F/W are statement necklaces, bold clutches, small handled bags, and attention grabbing earrings.

Although there were a lot of trends mentioned and seen as I was shopping, here are the main ones that seemed to be the common denominator. You will see plenty of denim and leather with some changes from previous seasons.

Elevated Athleisure is a trend that really took off after COVID and has been seen in every season. You will see more matching sets this year. We can stay cozy while looking chic with pieces that can be worn day and night. Capitalize on bodysuits tucked into leggings to capture that essence. Flared leggings with a side slit are also chic athleisure pieces to wear this fall.

Say hello to Modern 80s. We'll be seeing lots of bold, geometric patterns, bold colors, oversized pieces, and maybe even a shoulder pad or two. 

One trend that I am excited about is Power Dressing with Luxury Basics. You will see sharp tailored blazers with powerful shoulders matched with a classic blouse and denim, as seen in the above image. We will see wide leg pants and matching tops.

It is listed that Shimmery Metallics will be in. Go minimal by starting with accessories such as jewelry or a clutch. Or, if you want to go big, grab a metallic blazer or skirt.

Soft textures such as feathers or fur will be seen. When it comes to wearing textured pieces this fall, it's hard to go wrong and easy to customize to be as minimal or maximal as you want.

Leather is normally seen during the fall, but to change it up we will see leather sets and bright colored leather.

A few articles talked about Showing Off Your Legs with or without tights. Not sure how popular this will be, but I guess we will see.

A couple of key buys would be full skirts, a great coat, jumpsuits, and overalls. I look forward to seeing all the fall favorites and how items are styled. Remember the best style is your style. Cheers!
