Erin's Monthly Madness- October 2022

Ahhh it is here! October is here. One of my favorite months. The first taste of fall with cooler weather and signature items. Begin your day by lighting your autumn candles, sipping your pumpkin spice latte and planning your fall excursions.

There are so many things you can do by yourself or with friends and family. Here are some ideas based on my favorite things to do.

Pumpkin patch
Corn Maze
Hay Rides
Haunted House
Fall Festivals
Winery
Apple Picking

Some places will have multiple activities in the same location. We go to Burt’s Pumpkin Patch every year where we get our pumpkins and do the hayride. This year we will go to Uncle Shucks to do the corn maze, pumpkin patch, hay ride, food, and kid activities. Some festivals we are looking at going to this year are the Crabapple Fest, Oktoberfest at Avalon, and Trick or Drink at Avalon. My favorite thing to do in October is going to Netherworld, which is a haunted House in Atlanta. And at the end of the month we have our annual halloween party which is another fun tradition of ours.

Bradley has not only made me a mom, but has taught me to enjoy everything and create as many memories as possible. I have really been trying to live my life to the fullest. It hit me that life is flying by and it is time to enjoy it to the max. Last month I got the tattoo I have been wanting to get for the past 5 years. I have been trying to plan lunch and dinners with friends. I planned every weekend for the month of October and I cannot wait to see fall and halloween through Bradley’s eyes. Make sure to take care of yourself and family by making fun memories together.

God has a purpose for each of us and He places it in our hearts. Some find it right away and others find it with time. The blessings and trials God place in our lives cannot be taken away by anyone for they are ours. Our purpose and talents are given to us by God because he is for us therefore no one can threaten us.

Let’s use an example… You are looking for the next big thing in your life, a new job. You are preparing and interviewing and you start getting nervous thinking of other applicants. There is no need to worry because if this job is in the story God wrote for you then you will get it. Your story is already written and God definitely kept your purpose in mind. If you don’t get it, well something better is waiting for you. No one can take away what God has in store for us.

When you start to doubt yourself, remember that you are one with Christ and nothing and no one can be against you with Him on your Side. Think of it in the way that you are God’s creation and He made us with beauty. Don‘t be mean to His creation (you) because he is always for us.
