Monthly Madness- April 2023

Writer: Erin SzochErin Szoch

March was a successful month. I traveled to Texas to visit my best friends where we enjoyed plenty of delicious foods and attended the Houston Rodeo.

We went to the Georgia Aquarium as a family and it was so fun! Bradley was awestruck with all of the fish. It seemed like his favorite was the beluga whales. I encourage you to do small adventures like this for your littles. It was a good price for some great memories.

I have been working on deep cleaning the house and it is taking forever, haha. Normally I can get stuff like this done within a few days but with a baby it takes a few weeks instead. It is something I am starting to get used to. I have vaccumed, dusted, mopped, carpet cleaned, wiped down the baseboards, and much more. I finished the upstairs and hoping to finish the downstairs in the beginning of April. It is important to move furniture and deep clean because there is build up of dust, hair, dirt, and more.

March 30th is our anniversary and we are on 4 years of marriage. We spent the evening at the grand opening of the new Porsche Track. It was so cool to see one of the projects Bobby worked so hard on come to life. We were able to enjoy drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and a cool show on the track.

I look forward to April. It is going to be full of fun! My birthday, travel, family time, starting our garden, and more. EEK! So excited.

Verse

”For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 8:38-39

Remembering that nothing can separate us from God's love builds a foundation of gratitude in us. His love was poured out on the cross. There is no greater love.

God strategically places tiny treasures throughout our day. We must look carefully and appreciate them. At the end of the day, we must offer them up with a grateful heart. Sitting in his presence will fill our hearts with thankfulness and peace.

Advice

Working is necessary to make money to live, but don't give up your life for work. At the end of the day, we are all replaceable and companies will do what they think is best for them. I experienced this first hand and it is the reason I left my company. I knew I did not want to lose my time with Bradley growing up for a company that wouldn't take care of me. I am fortunate to stay at home with Bradley. Do not miss out on life events or family time. You won't look back thinking I wish I would have taken that call. You will look back and think I wish I had more time with my kids. Time is precious, so let's spend it doing what we love with who we love.

OOTM

This outfit is from NanaMacs and not something I would normally buy. I thought it was so trendy and wanted to see if I could pull it off, which I did!

These two pieces look great together, but I can also wear them with other pieces that I have. The other night for dinner, I wore the pants with a cream sweater vest and nude heels.

Nothing is wrong with sticking with your style, but branching out can be fun. You never know what you may like. This outfit was such a win for me. I'm not a regular mom, I am a cool mom!
