Monthly Madness- August 2023

July was such a sweet and fun month. We were finally able to take momma to have a girl's tea day at The Ginger Room. It was an awesome experience. The package we picked came with tea and a 3 tiered tray that had finger sandwiches, biscuits, and desserts.

We celebrated Bobby with a surprise birthday party. I told him we had family coming over for dinner, but then had friends show up. It was special to have his close loved ones celebrate him. He told me he felt like something was up, but he was surprised.

The celebration didn't stop with the birthday. We celebrated my brother-in-law and future sis-in-law at their engagement party and last weekend we were in Daytona for the bachelorette party. Bobby will be on his way in a few days for the bachelor party, so we continue to be busy.

With it being so hot, I am so excited for the cooler fall weather. Fall fashion is a favorite of mine and I went ahead to create a post on F/W 23 Trends.

Now that mom and sis have gone back to school that means my summer is over too, haha. No more on-call babysitters. I created back to school boxes for them since they helped me with Bradley so much. In mom's box, I added a new cardigan and earrings. In sis's box, she got new shoes and earrings. I added snacks, coffee, and a few school supplies in both. I wrote on the sticky note "Have a Great Year!" This was so simple, but so impactful. You can do something like this for anyone for any occasion.

Verse

"But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." Luke 6:27-28

God is so rich in mercy that he gave us a new life through Christ, another chance. Instead of leaving us when we've ignored Him, denied Him, or cursed Him; he pursues us, forgives us, and loves us. Most importantly, HE NEVER GIVES UP on us.

When you are tempted to choose bitterness and hate, remember who loved you first. Remind yourself who found you when you were lost. Jesus. Jesus is our guide to forgiveness.

Now I know some of you have those people in your life who screwed you over or worse. I have a few people on my forgive but never forget list. However, instead of choosing hate and anger, I choose to forgive. I pray God can show them the light; show them how they should treat people. I pray they learn that what they did hurt people and how to be better. I try to choose Jesus.

Advice

Take care of your loved ones by giving them love, compassion, and your time. I had such a great month because it was full of loved ones, family and friends.

OOTM

This outfit caught my eye with the color, but it was a little out of my comfort zone. Once I tried it on I felt so confident in it.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to pair this set with hot pink accessories or neon green. As you can see, I went with watermelon vibes.

I enjoy sets because you can wear together, but also create two more outfits with these pieces.

I linked my outfit and some bridal items in my Like to Know It. I saw my outfit was on sale so run on over!
