Monthly Madness- November 2022
October came and gone, but left us with so many great memories. The Halloween party was a SUCCESS! I will be working on a post with this year's decorations. I have a baby sooooo a little late, but better late than never, haha. Our costume turned out so cute and the wigs took it to the next level. Even though Bradley is so young, we took him to a couple of houses for trick or treating and he did so good. He held on to his bucket and took it all in.
I started taking down the Halloween decorations to provide a blank slate for Christmas. Now is a great time to deep clean since I have no decor out. We celebrate Thanksgiving, but we don't decorate for it. Do you start Christmas decorating November 1 or wait until it is closer to December? I will start decorating next week once I get everything put away and clean.
Bradley is going to be 9 months and I am having a hard time with weaning off breastfeeding. It seems that I am having a harder time than him. I am not sure why. I thought I would be happy to be done, but it is the opposite. Maybe it is because we won't have that bonding moment anymore and he is growing so fast. Breastfeeding was so special for us and I will always cherish those times even the feedings in the middle of the night.
Having a baby makes everything harder, but better. It is a FULL TIME job that is so rewarding. I have had a hard time accepting that I can't get everything done that I want. I am a person that likes to get my to do list chopped the day that I make it. I have made it a point to make it a week to do list so I can still get stuff done while being the best mom I can be and that helps me feel successful. I recently did a post on measuring success and this is a great example of feeling successful without materialistic items.
We all need to count our blessings and be grateful this Thanksgiving season. Find what you are thankful for and make it a goal to show your appreciation all year long. This year I am thankful for my God, Bradley, Bobby, Nova, family, friends, good health, having a roof over our head and I am so thankful that I can be a stay at home mom.
Verse of the Month
"Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
Dear heavenly Father, please be with me as I continue to learn the way of motherhood. Everyday is a new journey as I am with my little blessing. The past month it seems like I have been down and tired. I pray that when I lean into you that you will place your hand on me and give me the strength and patience. Please be with those who are in the same boat as me, those going through a difficult time, and those who are going through a joyous time in their life. Through the good and the bad you love us and celebrate us. I pray that we can do the same for you. Amen
God loves us so much that he is willing to be there for us even if we aren't always in touch with Him. He will take care of our worries and troubles as long as we bring them to Him. He will take the burdens and turn it into something beautiful. We may not understand or see it yet , but that is why we have faith. God wants us to talk with him all day long. He doesn't want us to only come to Him when life isn't going how we want. He wants us to come to Him with the good also. Let's all make it a goal to speak with God everyday this month and then once it becomes a habit, we will work on throughout the day.
